Inspired by researching and learning from other master choreographers and dancers, Rosy and Deniz direct, produce, choreograph, and perform memorable pieces involving live dance and percussion. Biography
The award winning Dunya duo is dedicated to the artistic and diverse representation of Middle Eastern dance. Turkish-American Michelle Deniz and English Rosy Summerbell are Co-Artistic Directors who perform professionally internationally and teach in London. They also produce a bi-monthly dance showcase called Hafla on the Hill benefiting a variety of causes supporting educating and empowering communities internationally. With a combined 30 years of dance and production experience, they have been especially passionate about Turkish styles and have learned from internationally renowned dancers such as Ozgen in London and Reyhan Tuzsuz in Istanbul as well as other Middle Eastern styles inspired by master choreographers such as Yousry Sharif and Shafeek Ibrahim.
